JUMP Tim was talking about some of my student work from the year before. And yes the editor loved it but when I asked about the little problem of copyright the editor kept telling me that he had it covered, just deliver the work and he would handle the rest.
I really wanted to publish but just couldn't do so unless copyright was clear and I just knew that the editor was B.S.-ing and never planned to contact anybody about the right to print work that came from H. P. Lovecrafts Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath. It hurt, but I pulled out of the deal. You dont mess with other peoples work even if you can get away with it.

Mid 80's and Bissette is putting together a two volume Lovecraft book with the publishing house that the Turtles build. It was a two part work and he called me up for the same pages for part 2. It went down the tubes and only the people in the first volume got paid and nobody got printed. Once again the pages go unprinted.
These pages are real old by now and a bit primitive but I still like them and it is about time that they see the light of day.
